Program Overview

Pearson Campus Ambassadors across the U.S. act as the campus liaison between Pearson sales representatives, marketing managers, editors and the student body. They serve as advocates to help Pearson better meet students' educational needs and play a vital role in providing a student voice to faculty and Pearson professionals. Pearson Campus Ambassadors help students get the most out of their educational materials and succeed.

Pearson Campus Ambassadors Responsibilities

  • Work on meaningful projects that have an immediate impact on students—at your campus and nation-wide.
  • Be an outlet for student opinions at your campus, to be heard by campus administration and Pearson executives.
  • Organize outreach events that aim to help your peers use their educational materials.
  • Learn, create, and use business strategy to inform students about Pearson products.
  • Work with professionals at Pearson to promote current products and shape future ones.
  • Develop presentation and networking skills by speaking in front of students and faculty.
  • Commit to a minimum of one semester/two quarters of service.
  • Average time commitment: 1-5 hours per week.

We're looking for students who are passionate about helping their peers achieve their potential and who are creative problem-solvers with strong interpersonal skills. Successful Campus Ambassadors are well-connected on their campuses or have a desire to network and become more involved with their campus community. They are proactive and ambitious, and enjoy working as a team to accomplish a larger goal.

All applicants receive an email confirmation upon submitting their resume and are directed to a confirmation page once their application form is submitted. Due to the number of applicants we are unable to confirm receipt of individual applications.

What are the responsibilities of a PCA? What does the day-to-day job look like?

Tasks and responsibilities of a Pearson Campus Ambassador vary by the needs of the students on their campus, and the primary responsibilities can be found here. Ambassadors typically work no more than five hours per week and interact with students, faculty, and Pearson professionals.

What are some of the projects and events PCAs work on?

Pearson Campus Ambassadors are instrumental in leading classroom presentations on Pearson technologies, hosting tables at book fairs, and capturing video testimonials. They also facilitate focus groups, conduct student surveys, and create projects and events specific to the student experiences on their campuses.

Is there any travel involved?

Pearson Campus Ambassadors may be invited to travel to other campuses or for events, although it is NOT a requirement for the position.

How much time commitment is involved?

The average time commitment is 1-5 hours per week.

How are PCAs trained?

Pearson Campus Ambassadors participate in webinars, video conferences, phone sessions, and some local trainings led by Pearson professionals. They also are trained, mentored and managed by a Regional Campus Ambassador.

What is the hourly compensation for a PCA?

How long does each PCA work with Pearson?
