Sandi Kirshner
Chief Marketing Officer
Sandi Kirshner began her career with Allyn and Bacon, one of the current Pearson companies that specializes in pre-service teacher education and in-service teacher professional development. With more than 30 years of experience in higher education content, technology, and services, she has held a variety of marketing positions with Pearson companies and has worked closely with educators and students to bring innovative teaching and learning practices to the college classroom.
Allison Jones
Director
Allison is a Wisconsinite who aspires to be a true New Yorker — even after living in NYC for 7+ years! She loves new experiences and working with the interesting, naturally curious and passionate people at Pearson. She has worked in a variety of roles from Sales and Sales Management, to Strategic and Product Marketing, to Sales Systems and Software Training, and now leads the Student Relations team. If Allison won the lottery she’d travel more, learn more, cook more, golf more (and teach kids to golf — so many life lessons in golf!) and take and share more photos of all of those things.
Andrea Shaw
AVP / Marketing Programs Director
An East Coaster now living in sunny Northern California, Andrea can be found on the soccer field (watching her two boys play), biking, kayaking or teaching yoga to little kiddos. Her career in Education includes a six year stint as Director of Marketing and Admissions at two colleges in the Boston area and teaching marketing strategy at both the undergraduate and graduate level. At Pearson, she is part of our Student Relations team to engage our Ambassadors and is most excited about driving our new "One Professor" campaign to honor the Educators who impact the lives of students both in and outside of the classroom. Once her kids get off to College (which is still a few years away), Andrea’s dream is to do a yoga retreat in Bali and travel to India to see the Taj Mahal.
Brooke Zambroski
Coordinator
When she isn't organizing social media campaigns, she supports the Advisory Board and Campus Ambassador programs through web outreach. With a strong sense of community, Brooke also volunteers with local environmental and affordable housing organizations, consulting on their digital strategies. Brooke graduated from Champlain College in Burlington, VT where she studied both Marketing and Graphic Design. Previously, she worked as a Social Media Analyst for an online marketing agency.
Katherine Kollef
Assistant
After a brief fling with science, Katherine began her love affair with books while studying English at Boston College. Pursuing her passion for the written word, she obtained her Masters in Publishing and Writing at Emerson College and discovered a penchant for marketing she has not been able to ignore since! She now works with the most energized people she knows and is thrilled to combine her academic pursuits with Pearson's mission of helping students achieve success through exceptional learning tools and technologies. Catch her in the Twittersphere! She'll be the one tweeting about books, amateur foodie pursuits, and marketeering in the digital age!
Kara Manis
Manager
When Kara is not dreaming of her return to the Island of Grenada where she and her husband lived for over a year, she can be found managing the energetic and passionate Pearson Students. Kara started her career in publishing with Pearson back in 2008 and is so excited about her new role with the Student Relations team. In her free time, Kara loves exploring the Northeast, video chatting with her favorite children's home in Grenada, and taking pilates reformer classes around her new home in Hoboken.
